Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp baking SODA
  • 1 tsp baking POWDER
  • 1 cup Cocoa
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 stick (4 oz.) MELTED BUTTER
  • 1 cup of HOT black coffee

Cooking Steps

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Mix dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl until combined: then add eggs, milk, vanilla, melted butter. Stir until well combined. Should be a heavy batter.

    Gently stir in 1 cup of hot black coffee. Batter will be thin.

    Pour into greased/floured 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake 30-45 minutes until the cake tests done. Cool completely before frosting.
